How Snapshot / Sync works
Snapshot and Sync jobs move rows from one database to another and show progress table by table.
What this page does
Snapshot / Sync is for moving rows in bulk. A snapshot is the initial copy of selected tables. A sync pass can catch up rows that changed after the first copy started.
How jobs run
The operator chooses an approved mapping, starts a job, and watches table-level progress. Cupcake reports rows moved, tables completed, active work, failures, and recent job events.
Why it matters
Large data moves should be visible while they run. Progress by table helps a team understand what is complete, what is still running, and where a problem occurred if the job stops.
What to look for
Useful signals include rows transferred, remaining time, failed tables, current table, throughput, and whether a follow-up compare should be run after the copy finishes.
